San Diego Chapter - Chicanx Latinx Alumni

The UC Berkeley Chicanx/Latinx Alumni Association of San Diego is committed to maintaining a community that works together to support the education and professional growth of Chicanx Latinx students and alumni. By sharing our resources, experiences, and expertise, we strengthen our community, enrich our personal development, and foster stewardship and mentorship for Chicanx Latinx students.

We are committed to supporting San Diego and Imperial County Chicanx and Latinx high school and community college students in their pursuit of higher education at UC Berkeley. To date, we have provided scholarships to high school students and community college students. We are looking forward to continuing this work for many years to come!

                             All money donated will go directly to benefit our students!

Funds will be utilized for the following:

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

• Reduce food and housing insecurities.
• Subsidize the increasing cost of tuition, books, and supplies.
• First Generation, Undocumented, and other marginalized and underserved students.

STUDENT CLAA PAID INTERNSHIPS

• Gain hands-on workforce training and experience.
• Develop professional skills to be job-ready.
• Create a strong network of contacts. 

LATINX CAREER & DEVELOPMENT CENTER

• Connect students with alumni for career and educational advice and mentoring.
• Explore internships, externships, fellowships, and careers.
• Develop effective resumes, gain confident interviewing skills, and explore career opportunities to successfully transition into the workforce. 

Please support us with an amount you are comfortable in giving.  We are asking for a minimum of $10 and your help in recruiting other supporters that you know will support our cause to strive for academic equity.
