2024 Prizes

With your support, qualified sanctuaries and rescue centers providing rehabilitation or long-term care for apes throughout Africa, Asia, and North America will be able to compete for prizes funded by our sponsors.

Leaderboards will be live for 24 hours on October 8, 2024, from 12:00 AM EDT to 11:59 PM EDT. Donations made during the specific times listed below will count towards Golden Ticket and Power Hour opportunities.

Only online donations through the Mightycause platform will count towards prize opportunities. In the event of any tie, the amount for that prize will be divided evenly among the winners.

Power Hours

Power Hours - $2,500 each

During the hours listed below on October 8, 2024, participating sanctuaries can compete to win $2,500 by either raising the most dollars or bringing in the most unique donors during that hour. Because Giving Day for Apes has sanctuaries participating from all over the globe, Power Hours are separated by continent so every region has a chance to win. Only sanctuaries from the specified regions are able to win that Power Hour. The times listed below for each Power Hour are when the Power Hour begins and ends, and the winning sanctuary will be posted at the start of the following hour.

Power Hours are listed in Eastern Daylight Time, as well as other non-U.S. time zones. To find out when a Power Hour is occurring in your local time, you may convert from EDT using this link:
