Save the Chimps
Decades of Care, A Lifetime of Compassion

Hello Friends, as some of you know, I recently started volunteering for Save the Chimps, one of the largest chimpanzee sanctuaries in the world whose mission is to provide refuge and exemplary care to chimpanzees in need. Save the Chimps offers life-long care for chimpanzees rescued from research laboratories, the pet trade, and entertainment industry.

I’m fundraising for the 2022 Giving Day for Apes! Giving Day for Apes is a 24-hour event on October 11th where sanctuaries & rescue centers from Africa, Asia, and North America raise money and awareness for ape welfare. This year, I’m hoping to raise at least $3000 for Save the Chimps. Please join me in making a donation to support this important cause and help Save the Chimps reach their fundraising goal and continue to care for their more than 220 chimpanzee residents!

This year, our goal is in honor of our elderly chimpanzees. The increased care needs of geriatric chimpanzees (35 years and older) pose one of our most critical challenges at Save the Chimps. We currently have 71 chimpanzees who are elderly, and an additional 13 chimps will age into this category this year.

I recognize in these challenging times so many additional and difficult sacrifices have to be made.  If you can spare anything to support this effort I know it will be deeply appreciated by the chimps! Many thanks!
