Run for the Apes - 2025

Please help me raise money for the wonderful animals of the Limbe Wildlife Centre!

As part of our big fundraising day - Giving Day for Apes - I'm taking part in the Victoria Park 10km run on Saturday October 4th, to support the rescue, care and conservation of chimpanzees, gorillas and other endangered and vulnerable wildlife in Cameroon which I am so passionate about.

I have worked at LWC for the past 4 years and am continually blown away by the difference we can make to the wellbeing of these vulnerable rescued apes - so very similar in personalities and needs to us humans - their conservation in the wild through community education, and the dedication of our local staff.

We are getting close to our most important fundraiser of the year - Giving Day for Apes on 7th October 2025.

Apes are just like us… They need a home, security, family, food, water, medical care, and entertainment. This is why we need your help to keep doing our important work! 

Your support can change lives. Help us rescue, rehabilitate, and care for these majestic creatures affected by illegal wildlife trade and habitat destruction.

Funds raised will help fulfil the daily needs of the 14 gorillas and 35 chimpanzees, and many other incredible creatures, under our care.

• Nutritious food and veterinary care
• Mental and physical enrichment through toys, social interactions, and activities that encourage their natural behaviours
• Safe and secure living conditions
